So, I did manage to go to Circuits last Friday lunchtime. There were only 5 of us in the class ! Tom made us work hard though..... On each station we did a minute, unless you were on a cv (treadmill, rower, arc trainer) and you did two minutes.

Inbetween were various weights, abs or leg excercises like squats, lunges, chest presses, shoulder presses, bicep curls and so on. I felt ok on Saturday morning, so maybe I didn't work hard enough !

Saturday morning we headed off to Southwick Hill, above the tunnel on the A27 for the latest SOG event. As it was the day before Mother's Day and I wasn't going to see Mum on Sunday, I'd organised (a very large) bouquet of flowers from us all. I'd not run at Southwick before, although I'd driven past (or under) it several times !

It was a bit of an uphill walk to the start with options for route choice from the word go. It was interesting watching those ahead start, as we all seemed to go slightly different ways. I overshoot number one and fought back through some green and round to find it ! From there on wasn't too bad for two, three and four (as there were folks ahead of me).

Towards five, I should have dropped out into the field and run along the edge, instead of fighting through where I did ! To six was fun - across a field, downhill, then straight back up again ! From there, I was ok for the next three, I went past and saw nine on my way to seven. There was a guy behind me, who was right behind near 10, who said he was going to catch me ! I'm not sure who he was, but I saw him when I was at 12, when I thought he was looking for 11 and didn't see him again !

The last few were good, Pat had put in a nice loop of short legs at the end, which confused some ! Mike overshoot 16 and ended at 18 first and Jennie missed 16 altogether !

There were some interesting results and split times on three controls in particular - one, two and four. It resulted in a real mix on the Blue course in terms of points scored for the SOG Table !
