After last week's efforts, this week has been very quiet - due to us going to Devon for two days for a family funeral. Monday night we were packing and getting organised and Tuesday we drove down to Newton Abbot straight after work.

We did take gym kit with us as there was a Leisure Club at the hotel we were staying at. We just didn't really get the chance to use it.

We did manage a really nice short walk on Dartmoor on Thursday am, before heading back home though. We drove out of Bovey, up to Haytor and walked up to it from the lower car park. We then headed north across the old tramway, to Smallacombe Rocks, where we enjoyed the view and the very nice pasties from the Spar in Bovey for our lunch Smile We were very lucky with the weather - we could see torrential rain in the distance and some rather black clouds over us at one point. We didn't get wet though.

We'd not been over to Smallacombe Rocks before - they're generally quieter than Haytor itself and have some fab views up and down the valley and over to Hound Tor. On the way back to the car park, it did start raining a little bit, so we detoured round the eastern end of the quarry to get back before it did rain. Luckily, it didn't.

We then had a reasonable four hour drive home again and I didn't go to Circuits today either.... it's only because I was the only one in today and having been away for two days, knew I'd probably have a load to catch up on...

Ho hum.... we're running tomorrow morning in Horsham Park anyway....
