After yesterday's success, I wasn't expecting anything today ! We had a nice breakfast in our hotel, then drove the short distance out of the city to Blean Woods. We were parked in a field a short walk away from the start. We had plenty of time to get organised.

This was the first time either of us had done any proper O in a forest for a long time, since our injuries ! It was also the first time I'd worn my O shoes and it was a bit difficult getting them on and they felt a bit tight. It was a nice walk uphill to the start, which was a good warm up and got the legs moving again after yesterday !

There was no wait at the start at all really, again it looked more like an SO event ! I picked up my map and headed off towards the first control, only I found number two first ! This meant I knew where it was, once I had found number one ! It was a lovely area, really nice in some parts adn runnable, although I wasn't running much ! My legs felt it from the previous day and also from being in a forest again.

My navigation was ok mostly, there were a couple of wobbles (12- 13), I just couldn't run it.

Overall was third in W35, but again we were all lumped together in a W20-40 age category so no medal today !
